When a Palestinian film crew decides to avert a closed checkpoint by taking a remote side road, the political landscape unravels, and the passengers are slowly taken apart by the mundane brutality of military occupation. Both a visual poem and a narrative, like twenty impossibles wryly questions artistic responsibility and the politics of filmmaking, while speaking to the fragmentation of a people. The film has it's world premiere this week at Dubai International Film Festival. ----------------------------- 5. TEHILIM / Psalms for German theatrical distribution We are proud to have singed an agreement for theatrial release of Rafael Nadjari's TEHILIM / Psalms which was officially selected to Cannes Competition this year. The film will be released in German theatres March, 6th 2008. |
