1. Harrassowitz and mec film agree cooperation
mec film is distributing it's DVD internationally to academic and research libraries via prestigious agent Harrassowitz now. Universities can place their order at Harrassowitz.
All other institutions or private customers can order DVDs at the mec film online-shop.

2. DVD of Rana's Wedding premiered „Best of 2005“
The German DVD of Hany Abu-Assad's Rana's Wedding (Palestine 2002, 90 min) was awarded as one out of seven films for youth from the age of 14 by German public Children- and Youth Film Center Germany. mec film sublicenced DVD rights to absolut medien/Berlin. More infos (German only)

3. Year Zero: Theatrical premiere in Germany
Joseph Pizchhadze's Year Zero is opening in German theatres on April 13^th . We are proud to have the premiere in Muenster's award winning art house theatre „Cinema“ March 30th . The premiere is a co-operation between mec film (distributor), Cinema, Green Hell (Recordstore & Mailorder) and Gleis 22 (Youth Centre and Concert Venue for Indie and Punk).

The first edition of the Mediterranean Film Festival Algarve (Portugal) has a focus on the works of Tawfik Abu Wael. mec film presents his DIARY OF A MALE WHORE and WAITING FOR SALLAH EL-DIN at the festival.
